Contributor Bio(s): Cardwell, Robert: - Dr. Cardwell grew up in Sharpsville, a small town in western Pa. He attended the Univ. of Pgh. where he earned a degree in biology and, subsequently, went on to dental school at Temple Univ. After graduating dental school he entered the Public Health Service and helped set up a dental clinic in a beautiful little town in W.Va. named Elizabeth. He likened it to Mayberry. Lastly, he entered into dental practice with Dr. Nelson Robbins in Ocean City, NJ where he practiced for 36 years. All during this time he was writing and illustrating his picture books. His favorite authors are Chris Van Allsberg and Maurice Sendak. |
