Return trip to eternity
Serafina and Greta have been friends since their earliest childhood. When Greta succumbs to a fatal illness in her early twenties, Serafina's world is shaken to the core. On Greta's deathbed, Serafina makes a promise to her friend to search for her and to find her, no matter what. Overwhelmed by grief, Serafina loses all interest in life and forgets her promise until the day she receives a mysterious message. Serafina is jolted out of her sorrow and embarks on a quest that will lead her in search of an answer to one of mankind's oldest questions: what happens when we die?
The novel combines elements of philosophy with recent discoveries in the neurosciences and research into near-death experiences to examine the question of the afterlife in a new light.
Readers wrote (translated from German and Italian):
"an astonishing book," "very nice novel," "I couldn't put it down," "I give five out of five points," "insightful and credible," "a book full of hope," "the story reads easily and offers profound food for thought."
