Publisher Description:
Although aware of clairvoyance and mediumship since 1974 Maxine chose work connected with the Arts - singing, dancing, promotions, advertising and writing. In 1980, after pushing herself to the limit, she suffered her first stroke, which put her completely out of action. Writing and Mediumship then became her sole professions. She wrote her first poems, "Time" and "Love" with an awareness that loving is not always hearts and flowers, but can change a person's way of thinking and question their own identity; that love can be hurtful and that to love is not just to love another human being, but to have a love of life and, to a certain extent, a warmth and love of one's self. Poetry for Lovers was written from experiences of feeling loved, lost, hurt, hateful, confident but alone. All the feelings that loving at one time puts you through.
