Publisher Description:

Having conquered his fear of horses, Marty is excited to be competing in his first rodeo. He rides his trusty pony Pixie, and takes Maggie along with him. Together they learn new horse skills as they share their experiences.

With a passion for horses and dressage, Michelle has written this book to show a less serious side of the equine world, which she hopes both horsey and non-horsey people will enjoy. In bringing together two completely different styles of riding and viewpoints, she hopes to emphasise that there is no right or wrong way of riding, and that horses can be enjoyed no matter what they are used for.

Contributor Bio(s): Path, Michelle: - Michelle Path is an Australian children's author. She has always been an avid reader and fondly recalls reading many wonderful books as a child. In primary school her class were asked to write and illustrate a book, and there her dream of becoming a writer was born. Michelle's main goal is to encourage children to enjoy reading; she aims to write books that are fun to read but also have an educational slant or a moral to them. Many of her books contain themes such as caring for the environment and animals, along with a good dose of humour. When Michelle is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her kelpie, Ruffy, and riding her horses; she is often found competing in dressage competitions. She also enjoys spending time at the beach, walking her dogs, going to the theatre and seeing concerts.
