Publisher Description:

A Little Brown Bat must find a safe place to spend the winter, in the second book of the Wildlife on the Move series. A Little Brown Bat Story follows one bat through his daily ritual of eating and sleeping, and his annual migration to a safe spot to hibernate in winter.

Through a simple narrative with beautiful illustrations, young readers will learn about Little Brown Bats' behaviors and habitat, threats to their survival, and respectful human interaction to help conserve this important and threatened species.

This is the second in a four-part series of board books done in partnership with Maine Audubon. All four are narrative nonfiction books about different New England species. This unique series is written and designed specifically for a preschool market; few board books exist that tell conservation stories for this age range. The first in the series, A Snowy Owl Story, was published in February, 2015.
