A look at the exhibition practices of museums at home and abroad, and the lending of sometimes invaluable art treasures, however, shows that it is worthwhile to pay greater attention to this issue. The present volume closes that gap by giving a systematic presentation of the basic principles of loans, the ensuing obligations and the liability of the parties to loan agreements in the French, English and German legal systems.
