Publisher Description: Learn more about the rich world of the ancient Japanese drink, sake. When washoku (Japanese authentic food) was added to the UNESCO Heritage list in 2013 sake began gaining popularity all over the world. Known for its fruity aroma, non-Japanese people are often shocked to learn that sake is made from rice. This book teaches everything there is to know about sake, from the basics such as different types of sake and how it's made, to local, inside knowledge about which brands/breweries are recommended and how to enjoy them at izakaya restaurants in Tokyo. |
