Publisher Description: Car Wash - Trust the Track is a simple book to help start a conversation about a healthy way to process feelings and emotions for our little ones. Life can come at us pretty fast and there are usually some unexpected situations thrown in our path that can be very scary, particularly for younger children. They need to understand that even though things may not be as they wish or they may be frightened by the unknown, they can trust themselves to face their fears and not allow scars to form. A carwash can be used as an easy example of our crazy lives. Even if we are unable to see what lies ahead, we can learn that we have the ability to control how we chose to process our thoughts. We can move beyond the challenges of everyday life and allow our hearts to continue to grow. Losses such as death, divorce, bullying, or other challenges that come across our "track" do not have to dictate how we chose to move forward. We can learn to "trust the track" and be reminded that we have the ability to move from being a victim to a victor. Each of us have to "own" at least 1% of any situation no matter how we got there. We are the only one that has the skills to choose how we react. Trust the Track will hopefully give readers some insight into owning how they feel. |
