Publisher Description:
So I'm pretty sure that most people that are embarking on the journey from their twenties over into their thirties does so with a lot of different emotions. Excited, scared, happy... it all depends on the day and our frame of mind. I wasn't sure what to expect, so I decided to document some of my thoughts each day as I tackled this thing...TURNING 30. I think to myself, "Hey - I'm thirty and I'm going to become the best me that I can be." Little did I know that this would end up one of the hardest years of my life. From partying too much, making friends, losing friends, and tons of bad news, I didn't know if I would be able to make it through. In your twenties, you feel invincible and typically can live somewhat carefree. When you are younger you envision what your life would look like at different ages. By thirty I envisioned a fully functioning ADULT. Instead what I am finding, is that I am a work in progress...my life seems to always be almost professional. Before my thirtieth birthday hit, I had an almost thirty crisis. I needed to be fabulous for this turning point. I went the drastic route with surgeries and exercising non-stop. I had this idea that being the prettiest me on the outside would make turning thirty easier.... I ended up wasting money and weighing the most I had ever to date. But little by little, I am learning how to love myself for who I am. I have found that the best piece of mind comes from within. I hope that all women will find the happiness within themselves and see how wonderful your thirties truly are. Use the spaces on the pages that follow to set goals, figure out a plan, and remember the experiences you have being thirty. Included are my thoughts as I navigated through my first year of being thirty. My thoughts, doubts, happiness, and sadness are shared over 365 days of figuring out thirty. I have some of my lowest of lows along with great times as I have became thirty. Now go on... and start "adulting" with your fabulous self. Don't forget to document the journey, experiences, goals, and memories too. As you start your own experience, document your daily thoughts in this journal. I found as I've read back through this that it is a great way for self reflection and has helped me grow. I'm hoping this will do the same for you.
