She has many years of clinical experience working with individuals with suicidality in a variety of settings. Dr. Alonzo's research focuses on examining risk and protective factors related to suicidal ideation and behavior and developing interventions aimed at facilitating the treatment engagement and adherence of individuals at risk for suicide Gearing, Robin E.: -Robin E. Gearing, PhD, LCSW is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Mental Health Research and Innovations in Treatment Engagement and Service at the University of Houston. Dr. Gearing's research and clinical expertise focuses on improving the mental health outcomes of adolescents and young adults with serious mental illnesses, and their families.
