Publisher Description: Where Did All of These Animals Come From? You are invited to come in and to find out, in alphabetical order, which animals "from our woods" accept his invitation. A Possum in My Pantry is a whimsical, fully-illustrated alphabet book brightly and authentically inhabited by creatures of the North American Eastern Forest. No tigers or zebras or lions here. What is an eft? A wooly bear? A vole? What kind of turtle is that, with yellow spots on its shell? Is there really a unicorn in your woods? A runaway ferret? Well - you will have to go out and see. If you have no woods behind your house, ask your parents to take you to a forest for a long walk Lots of animals live there and you just might meet some of them. |
