As a child she read everything she could get her hands on and started making up her own little stories in text and drawings. Her short stories and poems were published in magazines and newspapers and she regularly won writing contests. In 2005 she graduated from the Art Academy St. Joost in Illustration. And in 2013 she completed a course 'Writing for children' in Amsterdam.
