Contributor Bio(s): Engle Jr, Dr Fred a.: - Dr. Engle and Dr. Grise have led remarkably similar lives. Their families have been linked for over eighty years and have become deeply rooted in Madison County. Their fathers taught together at Eastern Kentucky State Teachers College and their mothers also taught in the area. Their children and grandchildren grew up in Richmond. Fred's granddaughter, Kathryn, developed an interest in local history and has worked to continue the efforts of the Madison's Heritage authors.
