Publisher Description:
Couchsurfing is the largest hospitality site in the world. It is a fantastic community made up of people eager to host travellers from anywhere and everywhere. But what really happens on those couches? What goes on when a mutual attraction occurs between the guest and the host?Couchsurfing is not a dating site, but love knows no rules or limitations.

The complexity of social relationships, where the only certainty is the unpredictability of events, allows love and passion to blossom from the most unusual contexts, even amongst couchsurfers.

From Asia to South America, Africa to Europe, the Italian Author has "surfed" couches in more than 70 countries and has hosted over 150 travellers from all over the world. The various sexual behaviours displayed by the protagonists are some that, at times, the narrator has wanted to distance himself from, despite the fact that he, too, has been caught up at least once in the throes of genuine emotions beyond sex and other experiences.

A "fil rouge" links the seven stories and simultaneously reveals the secrets of a magical world of travels, the scents of distant lands and extraordinary moments of passion

The style, though modern and lively, also encapsulates the provocative nature of latin novels such as the Fabula milesia, as well as the realism of Petronio's Satyricon. These works, which have inspired great poets and writers of every period, led the narrator to express himself in the first person as in the Fabula. A youthful language follows him through the various stories as the defining link, with one omnipresent feature... a simple couch

These stories were inspired by real events, however, the names of characters, places and details of specific situations have been altered to protect privacy. Any direct reference to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. The idea for the book is independent from the Couchsurfing organisation and is not connected to the purposes and policies of the website, falling instead to the free choices of people who met through the platform to exchange hospitality and who later decided to introduce a different dynamic to their relationship.
