Publisher Description:
When an accident nearly claims Astronaut Luna Mare's life, her team is forced to leave the moon without her, but she finds comfort and safety among the beings who secretly call the moon their home. She forms a bond with their leader, who she lovingly calls Moon, and it sparks romance. Although it breaks her heart, she must return to Earth, but little did she know that she was not alone. Luna was expecting twins. Years pass, and Leo and Sola are always proud of their mother the astronaut. Luna does her best to give them a normal childhood, but she should have known they were never meant to lead ordinary lives. On their eleventh birthday, they discover that they inherited powers from their father, and their ancestry comes to light. Moon is ready to start teaching them what it means to be a Moonie, but what happens when other forces despise Moonie presence on Earth and Luna is taken in the crossfire?

Contributor Bio(s): Oliver, Monica: - Monica and Jace Oliver are a mother-son writing team who have been creating stories ever since Jace was three years old. Jace has always had a very active imagination with an insatiable appetite for reading. Monica decided to start writing down the fantastical stories Jace created and flesh them out into books and stories of their own. By writing their own stories, Jace was able to express his creativity through storytelling, as well as through the pictures he drew to accompany the stories. Not only did this keep him busy and entertained, Monica believes it also helped him advance his language and literacy skills. So much so, he has scored in the ninety-ninth percentile repeatedly on national and state standardized tests in language and reading. Writing stories together became their "thing," and it continues to this day. Both avid readers, they love the excitement of reading a great book and wanted to share one of their most treasured stories for everyone to enjoy.
