Publisher Description:
This short book will serve as a guide for anyone who is serious about a career in medicine. Ideally the reader who would benefit the most is the high school student. This book will not only show you what it takes to get into medical school but more importantly how to effectively plan in order to achieve your goals. Becoming a Physician today is harder than it has ever been before. According to the AAMC, in the 2015-2016 application cycle there were 781,602 applications to U.S. medical schools and only 20,631 were accepted. That is a 2.63% acceptance rate of applications nationally. This novel will not guarantee your acceptance, but it will maximize the potential of your application. I wrote this book to share what I learned about the admissions process and to tell you everything I wish I knew before I applied. While getting good grades and an incredible MCAT score will definitely help your chances of getting into medical school, there is more to the process that is often left unsaid. There are millions of smart people in the world, and the ones that are accepted to medical school aren't necessarily the most intelligent. As an accepted medical student I consider it an honor to be approached for help and I take it very seriously. I offer my advice to those who doubt themselves, because I did too.
