A few of her many honors include a Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholarship for study in Japan and the Alaska Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the year award. She is retired from the Delta/Greely School District in Alaska. Ms. Aillaud continues to live in Delta Junction, Alaska, and stays busy visiting schools all across the globe encouraging kids to write their own stories. She is the author of Recess at 20 Below.
