Keegan: - Karen (Furcht) Fitzsimmons' favorite job is being a mother. She has two sons and one daughter. Karen has prayed for her children and has enjoyed watching them depend on the Lord. One day, Karen sat down and prayed to God, "What would you like me to do?" She had already been a teacher, a photographer, a UPS employee, and a caretaker for her elderly parents. Yet she felt God had so much more planned for her. The answer came-she heard a small, gentle voice, the voice of the Holy Spirit, saying, "I want you to write books and use your creativity to spread my Word. Tell the people in the world that I love them." Karen gives all her gifts to the Lord, knowing He is the reason for this time in her life. He is still in charge. Will You Be My Friend? is Karen's third book with the Write Place. Her other books are The Secret of Happiness and The Joy of Forgiveness. Keegan is Karen's son. He is a full-time college student. His faith means everything to him, and he tries to glorify Jesus through his every action. Will You Be My Friend? is Keegan's first book.Lantz, Stephanie K.: - Stephanie K. Lantz, a native English speaker, was born and raised in Clarinda, Iowa. She showed a penchant for learning Spanish from a young age. After studying elementary education at Northwestern College, she accepted a teaching job in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Because she lived with a host family, Stephanie was immersed in the Spanish language. However, her day job was teaching first graders in English. Stephanie discovered that her deepest desire was to teach in Spanish. During the 10 months she taught in Guatemala, God equipped her with the skills necessary for teaching kindergarten in Spanish at Pella Christian Grade School. Her parents and sisters were thrilled to have her back in Iowa because they no longer needed to buy plane tickets to visit her. Stephanie lives in Pella with her cat, Cadbury. In addition to teaching, Stephanie has been translating math curriculum since 2017. ¿Serás Tú Mi Amigo? is the first book she has translated.
