Publisher Description:

Sometimes as a child, there aren't many people to rely on to tell your most treasured secrets. The author shares her experiences as a child while sharing her secrets with, The Big Magnolia Tree. Embedded with symbolism while coping with the death of her grandfather, the author and illustrator bring this book to life for any child or adult to enjoy. The Big Magnolia Tree is a lifelong friend to a growing child that also serves as a "happy place" for her when life gets tough.

Developed to be a self-esteem booster for any person to understand that life gets hard sometimes, but the struggles endured make you a better person. The tree is used as a reminder for the young girl to remember that she is destined to be great, but sometimes obstacles faced will only help you become stronger, better, or wiser during your journey.

As the young girl grows into a woman, she's reminded of the experiences and conversations she's had with the tree, who also poses as a symbol of her grandfather that is revealed in the end of the book. She's able to celebrate who she truly is, thanks to her adventures, but wonders what life will be like without her tree and grandfather to share her adult life's secrets with.

The Big Magnolia Tree is a book that will pull your heartstrings to help you understand your value and worth in life. Designed to boost self-esteem and character in children of all ages, this vibrantly illustrated book will leave you with lifted spirits and hope for the future.

This experience gave me valuable insight into graphic design, and client's needs and desires. After high school, I attended The Atlanta College of Art to earn my associates degree in the Visual Arts, and earned Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design at Bauder College. After graduating from college, I worked as a freelance graphic artist for promotional companies such as Metro Boys, Extreme Media, Galaxy Graphics, and WVEE Radio (Frank and Wanda in the Morning), all located in Atlanta, Georgia. This experience provided useful business and professional contacts within the design and shirt sublimation technology industry that I currently leverage. After 8 years of freelancing, I utilized my experience, and business contacts to launch an apparel company called, Soulsimplicity.com. After launching Soulsimplicity, I continued to freelance. I moved to Orlando Florida, where my wife's employer moved our family. As I continued to freelance, I worked part time for a company called, Victory Tailgate, a company that makes licensed apparel and corn hole board games. After two years of working with the company, I was laid off and I decided to pursue being an independent Graphic Artist and Illustrator full time. I would go on to develop several logos and branding identities for small business startups throughout Atlanta, GA. and Central Florida, and illustrated over 50 book titles to upcoming authors/writers across the country, with 26 published titles and illustrated projects of my own, partnered with my wife.
