Annotation: The Weisers were a major Sheepeater group of Northern Shoshoni people who lived in the mountainous area of west-central Idaho. Many of the Weisers were settled on the Lemhi and Fort Hall reservations. But a small number of these extremely proud and traditionally self-reliant people found refuge in the rugged mountains of central Idaho, where they stayed until the beginning of the 20th century.
