Contributor Bio(s): Bakis, Kirsten: - Kirsten Bakis attended the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and is the recipient of a Michener-Copernicus Society of America Award, the Bram Stoker Award for First Novel, and a Whiting Award. She is a resident faculty member at the Yale Writers' Conference, teaches at the Hudson Valley Writers' Center, and is an editor at Origins Journal. Bakis is the author of Lives of the Monster Dogs.VanderMeer, Jeff: - Jeff VanderMeer's New York Times bestselling Southern Reach trilogy has been translated into over 35 languages. The first novel, Annihilation, won the Nebula Award and Shirley Jackson Award, was shortlisted for a half dozen more, and has been made into a movie.
