Beginning with a historical introduction, the systematic context is discussed considering the issues of the development of a general property law doctrine for the Portuguese-speaking legal family, considering general principles of property law, the definition of 'coisa', the categories and protection of real rights. Nach einer historischen Einfuhrung wird der systematische Zusammenhang zwischen der portugiesischen Rechtsordnung und den verwandten lusophonen Rechtsordnungen dargestellt, darunter die brasilianische, die angolanische und die timor-lestische, und deren Identitatsmerkmale werden herausgearbeitet.
